Alec MacIsaac, CFA

PORTFOLIO MANAGER

Alec, working with a team of four, co-manages Antares Total Return portfolios. His responsibilities include investment research, communicating with clients and financial advisors, and he sits on the Management Committee. Alec joined the financial services industry in 1997 and has worked in analytical, portfolio management, and client-facing roles. Prior to joining BCV (previously Antares Investment Management) in 2017, he worked for over twelve years as an analyst and portfolio manager for a firm that managed several billions of assets in institutional and sub-advisory Canadian and U.S. equities, employing both value and dividend growth strategies. Alec earned his Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Philosophy from the University of Ottawa in 1992 and his Chartered Financial Analyst® designation in 2001.

Alec is married and the father of three adult children. He enjoys outdoor activities such as skiing and cycling, and he listens to podcasts on most days. He sits on the Board of Directors of The Link – Youth and Family Supports.
